Most of you maybe have been to Kuala Lumpur at least once in your life, given that it's ranked 8th in Forbes's "The World's Top 10 Most Visited City". But for me this is my first time, and I can understand why KL make it to the list. The fact that KL is the capital city of Malaysia making this fast-growing city becomes popular destination for business and tourism.
Going to KL right after Penang made me realize how different both cities are, in spite of their short distance. While Penang is more calm, slow-paced city, KL is definitely the opposite. But that doesn't make KL short on attractions, though. KL also has so much attractions, one of them is Petronas Towers, KL's iconic skyscraper. Penang! What do you have in mind when you hear it?
Before, I have nothing in my mind because I haven't been there and don't even know where is it. But after this trip, Penang for me is beaches, food!, heritage buildings and art. Because of tight time (only three days to explore Penang!) we have to choose the best of Penang. We decided to taste a little bit of everything; beach, food, heritage buildings, art. And it turns out that you can get all of them in the capital of Penang itself, Georgetown. Georgetown is a must-visit for tourists, especially when you have a tight schedule. |
